First visit- 11am weekday in summer hols. £3 entry (I think per child) to enter cafe and indoor & outdoor play areas which was really good value. There are also classes to book here (moo music), and other sessions like a sensory room. Whilst the class was running, it was very busy and noisy, with most of the indoor play area taken up by the class. After this it was pretty empty. Very reasonable food and drink prices. Falafel and hummus panini was great. Took a while for hot food and drinks to come. Overall seems really good value compared to soft play, great for babies and younger toddlers, and nice for adults to catch up and grab a drink. Looks like their website is under construction currently and you need to use social media e.g. Facebook for timetables. I think it could be clearer online what is actually here, hence the long review.

Enjoyable kids sessions hosted there and they do well to keep their attention. Not the largest facility our outdoor options. The cafe has a standard selection but both my latte's were not very warm. Mostly enjoyable all-in-all

We've been to the Calf Shed a couple of times now and absolutely love it! The cafe is great too - bonus for us parents! Delicious sandwiches, cakes and ice cream! There's regular Moo Music classes on but also a cute play area inside and a new outdoor space opening which looks fantastic - my 4 year old has had so much fun playing there. Caroline has done an incredible job creating this space. Oh and extra bonus - easy to get to and plenty of parking!

A lovely place for Toddlers and Infants. Sensory room is amazing so as the outdoor garden setup. Could have been better if it had some arrangements for toddlers like a slide or a soft play area but that's too much to ask maybe because it is one of a kind and based in a nice and quiet location.

Fantastic. The staff make it for me, the owner (I think) was so accommodating when I couldn't make a class and the lady serving was so lovely. I went on my own this time and she helped me with literally everything, she even helped me sort my belongings out and played with my son a little and he absolutely loved her lol. I can sometimes get flustered when im out on my own with my little one but I didn't need to worry at all. The food and coffee was amazing too. The play area is great and nice and safe and contained. Sensory room is also brilliant for younger ones I went in a couple of times when my little one was smaller. My son loves it here and so do I. Thank you so much we will definitely be back!!

I’ve been going to The Calf Shed since my first was a baby. She’s now 3 and a half and still loves to go. The Moo Music classes are fantastic and the facilities at the Calf Shed are lovely. Good food options and they even serve weaning plates. It is a relaxed setting so children can freely play while adults have a coffee and relax! Breast feeding friendly and all the staff are very accommodating.

Great new venue, flows a lot better than the previous site. Lots of activities and quite busy but not so much so that you feel hemmed in. A lot of thought has gone into how the space is laid out to allow even shy toddlers to feel confident to play when there are more excitable children around. Cafe staff were very helpful with allergy info for my toddler also, nice to see they had full lists of ingredients for everything even obscure allergies. Including lunch for two adults and two toddlers and play it was £35 very reasonable. Without lunch its equal price to most stay and plays but better facilities.
